At this stage (January 2006), the descriptive text for each effigy's detail is incomplete. This means that you may find that there are few results for specific dress items (for example, lappet). The next stage of the Costume Image Research Library project will be to label all the features shown with their c16th century names and some explanation of how they are worn. Please send feedback on the success and/or failure of your searches what would you like to find out from the images. This information will help enormously with applications for further funding.
